FAQ

What if I can’t make all my classes? Can I reschedule?
What if my schedule changes in the middle of my session?

Don’t worry, you may try to sub into another class. In-season is a busy time for softball players, but you need to stay sharp with lessons! We offer over 20 classes per week so it’s easy to find time to make up your classes. You can travel to any location. We keep our classes to 6 pitchers, so if someone cancels, you can jump right in!

If you only make 7 of the 8 lessons during the inseason, you may try to sub throughout the summer as well, up until July, but no further. Finding an open spot is not guaranteed.

How to Register:
Select your top three class references when you register, noting any scheduling limitations or friends your daughter would like to be placed with. Enter her experience level. We will notify you of your class assignment by March 21st.

Parent Involvement:
The most successful pitchers have supportive parents. We ask parents to join their daughters in each class to catch and learn. If you are unable to physically catch a sibling or team catcher will do.

Instructors:
Abby Hanrahan, Emily Tucci, Katie Griggs, and Jenna Gohmann will be the lead instructors. Various instructors will be the assistants for other classes. Occasionally, lead instructors will sub for one another. All instructors for each day are listed in your scheduling app (Wodify).

Rescheduling:
If you miss a class you must reschedule your class within your current session (inseason & summer). You may not roll over any classes to any other class, lesson or camp.  This includes missing the last class. Open spots in other classes are not guaranteed.

Class Levels:

Class levels help you schedule yourself into an appropriate class. What level am I in? Your level will be assigned to you when class assignments go out March 21st, 2025.

Refunds & Credits:
You may receive a refund or credit if you have a doctor’s note. You may not rollover any missed classes into another session.

FAQ

How is the inseason and summer different from the winter programs?
Our in-season and summer programs run for 8 weeks, with a flexible scheduling option to accommodate busy game schedules. While most lessons are held once per week, select sessions take place every other week, allowing athletes to balance their training with in-season commitments. This structure not only makes rescheduling easier but also ensures players stay on track with their development.

I wanted to come every week, but the time I want is listed every OTHER week. What should I do?
Sometimes we can be flexible! In the registration form, add your request in NOTES, and if enough people request something similar we will change it.

Can I use the in-season lessons I couldn’t get in during the summer?
Yes! However, you must use the lessons by the end of July, as they don’t carry into any other session, lesson or camp.

Who are the new recruits classes for?
These are for players who are aged 8-11 who have never pitched before, have pitched before but never got formal lessons, or who have gotten formal lessons but not with Practice Pro. *For players new to pitching 12 years old and above email abby@practice-pro to find the appropriate classes.

Can I have a private lesson?
Yes! We do those when pitching school is not in session in August & September only. Schedule TBA.
